Day 18/365 days of new things

Hello Poppits,
hows your day been?
today i got back into the kitchen after still feasting on Edie's party left overs... and boy was it good.
We had some yummy capsicum fajitas
and then some pizza scrolls.

I also look forward to this time of year when the blossoms outside my bedroom window come out in full bloom, they are so delicate and springtimey.

and lastly i made some really yummy Melting moments i got the recipe from here, but it only made ten not the forty it was meant to and i needed to double the icing mixture.. but boy oh boy these where amazing and i am making them again sometime really soon. oh and i put into use an earl birthday present a wilton 2d piping nozzle, it worked really well with this icing but i had tried to use it on Edie's cup cakeis  with not a whole lot of success , i think it really depends on what consistency  the icing is.

Edie Ps birthday and Catch ups on 365 days of new

Hello poppits,
it's been a rather busy few days and the Fosters HQ hence the lack of posts , therefore we're playing catch ups on 365 days of new.

In preparation for my birthday next weekend i made up a batch of croissant  dough and made it into lots of yummy things. this was my first time making anything like this and it was pretty darn easy just a bit time consuming and it was so hard not to eat one of these lovelies with them smelling so good fresh out of the oven!

Now it's Edies birthday .... as you can see i'm pretty tired looking as i didn't get to bed until some time after 1 am trying to set a few selected presents that had different ideas.

by the time breakfast came around we all were in need of it and boy was it yummy.

Mango lassies and french toast with maple syrup and raspberries on home baked bread ( and a little ice cream )

back to open some more presents and have a little bit of a play.

 Lunch:
Homemade raspberry lemonade and chips in brown paper with pesto mayo

more playing  and some cute indian headdresses in action

Afternoon tea time in the caravan  ! and cakies ( red velvet and raspberry studded vanilla cupcakies with honey buttercream)

and a foot in the cackies... nice

And lastly the ice cream cake !

well after that sea of pictures we are done and oh boy what a big and fun day it was !

day 13/365 days of new things

Hello poppits,
it's been a long day here in the fosters household ... let me rephrase   that a long week! Edie hasn't been sleeping too well and it's been busy getting ready for birthday with still more tomorrow. I didn't do to many new things that i could document today it was just a in and out day with getting food from the shops and things like that ...
I have been woking on a new character for the shop which i'm pretty exited about , i love adding all the little details in ( sorry its not a great picture the lighting wasn't great and i couldn't really be bothered, but the photo doesn't do him justice )

oh and i got my new frankie in the post today :) and now i'm off to read a few pages of this book before bed :)

day 12/365 days of new things

Hello poppits,
Edie and i had a really lovely day today, as our birthdays are only a week apart it makes for a fun week or so of cooking , eating, present opening and all round funness. today we had a afternoon tea with her 3 fairy godmothers which was really nice to catch up with them for a while, i really loved getting everything ready and making the veranda  look spiffy!

I had some help making the paper cranes and drew ideas from lots of different design blog and the likes, i was really please with how it all looked seeming this was my first time doing something like this.

 Edie loving her lili doll

Now for the party set up part ....

I kept the food simple with home brewed ginger beer , fairy bread, cloud meringues baby apple cakies...

When in came to the blowing out of the candle and eating the baby cakies, Edie got all shy and cute and snuggled into ni-nis knee before quickly grabbing a baby cakie of the plate and stuffing it into her mouth ...

as for the take home treats ... this was a last minute thought and i really loved it. Everyone got their own fabric wrapped food package with and baggage label with their name on it. inside wrapped in brown paper and tied with string was coconut ice, love heart freckles and toasted coconut rough.
