Little Vintage Edie style ...

Hello Poppits,

Today after a very long absents we have hopefully gotten beck into the groove of linking up with  Small style and Little vintage style  each week. Make sure you pop over and see what everyone else is wearing this week.

Last Monday was Halloween here in Australia, we don't tend to celebrate it much in Australia but it's defiantly growing each year. This Year we though it would be fun to have our own little halloween party with toffee apples, pecan pie, watermelon brains and even a few carved pumpkins for good effect.

A few weeks before i had , had a grand brain wave that Edie and I should go as thing 1 and thing 2 from the cat in the hat by dr Seuss ! 

And boy oh boy was it fun being crazy twins for a few hours.

Little Vintage Edie style ... Birthday edition

Hello Poppits,

this week we're running a little late with linking up with hart+sew and mama loves papa, 

these past few days have just been supper busy and tiering. With all the hustle and bustle that's involved with getting a birthday ready. 

That's right Edie P is the big ONE already and how has time flown by since she was born. 

one of her many presents was this cute little sailor dress i got her. She has a few different sailor dresses but not one like this one and as soon as i saw it i fell in love with it and even more so seeing her in it!

I made her some indian felt head pieces to go with her tent that you can see in the background ( also a present).

Little Vintage Edie style ...

it's time for another weeks styling for little ones what ever the era is! be sure to hop hop hop-pity hop over to hart+ sew and mama loves papa for some other great little characters in some very nifty wears.

 I would have to say that a vintage blouse is one of the best things that can be found when searching for clothing. they are just so beautiful ! and what could be more cuter that a gorgeous one on a little girl who's almost one !.... 

I found this lovely top on rox and sams etsy shop, I was planing on keeping it until edies birthday but once i saw how lovingly it had been wrapped up i had to see what was inside it... and lets just say i fell in love with it all over again but this time i could actually see and feel how sweet and beautiful this 70s style top is. I love the fact that it has cord fabric , lace, awesome buttons and a spiffy floral print all jumbled up into one !

Little Vintage Edie style ...

Hello, poppits!

we're back in action with our small styles and little vintage style after having a week off for a few different reasons but ho hum .

lets get onto the fun part of seeing all these cuties in their nifty outfits :)

 Oh k so Edie really wanted the camera so i let her have a little look ... big mistake as soon as i took it back she chucked a big wobbly... come to think about it she's been doing that a bit of late.

this little dress is hummm nice but it's not what i would normally dress her in. it's pink and light pink at that don't get me wrong i painted her room a whitey pink called "tea party" but that's what this dress is a pink puffy tea party dress and not some thing a crawling baby/ now standing by herself can happily romp around in. but all that said it has its elements that are pretty cool like all the scolloped edging ... ( I love ) and Edie seemed happy enough in it until she got it covered in cracker smudge and grape juice hahah.

Edie turned a whopping 11 months old this week and the count down has begun for her very first birthday ! I've been planing for a while now and think i've got mostly everything sorted now and it's just a matter of wait for things to come in the post!

Romi was kind enough to take Edie out and take the photos for this weeks post whilst i was getting some things together for my night of present wrapping ... who knew i had brought so much stuff... oh well. Oh and i did some cleaning up after edie again and by that time she was ready for a nice little nap :)

it's time for another weeks styling for little ones what ever the era is! be sure to hop hop hop-pity hop over to hart+ sew and mama loves papa for some other great little characters in some very nifty wears.

 this little outfit was a find on etsy and was a pretty good one at that as it didn't cost to much and is so mixy and matchy. I love that you can have either or neither together. But i d really love the top it's just so nice and i don't want to say boring but thats precisely what comes to mind, it pretty plain there's nothing froofy about it. but because of that I love it. it's nice to just have some vintage clothes that can be worn and not have to be too careful in them.

 the pants in a last photo look like they are giving Edie a slight camel toe but thats just because they kept falling off and i could't be bothered with fixing them too much because, by this point of the day ( morning tea time) Edie was already filthy and had  at lest 1/3 of a piece of cake on her clothes that she had spat out and then crawled through !   

in other Edie news she now has 7 teeth and has learnt how to climb down and up stairs and other things like the verandah and peoples beds !

little Vintage Edie style ...

Hello pottits,

having a lovely wintery or summery week where every you are in this round and very big world we live in ?? 

Edie and i have been having a very nice and chilly wintery one here in australia. theres been snow falling in the mountains that you can see form our house in the valley which looks a treat, when you catch it out of the corner of your eye.

thous it's still been cold we've have some lovely warm day's if you can find a sheltered nook out of the wind ( or my room which has sun almost all the time... aghhh) 

 I love Edies little vintage tee she has, it's fit her for soooo long I mean she's pretty much worn it on and off since she was about two weeks old but it's sadly almost getting too small now. 
I remember going through all the clothes I had for this little baby and wanting this to be one of the first things she wore because it had been mine :) and let's just say I got that wish!

Little Vintage Edie style ...

Hello Poppit's,

It's that lovely time of  week again when we link up with the lovely Hart+sew and Mama loves papa, where as per usual there's some lovely little poppits on show.

 At the moment i'm in a yellow/gold/mustered  and grey phase of colour loving and this little vintage outfit has the combination of the both ! yay 

I love this little dress that's slowly turning into a top not only for it's colour but for the smocking that's across the front and the peter pan collar. this make it a true winner .

 In the last month or so Edie's really begun to love looking and books, it's the sweets thing to watch she put the book up really close to her face then pulls it away and has the biggest grin on her face and then continues on her merry way looking through her book selection and leaving a trail of mess and destruction behind her!

Little Vintage Edie style ...

Hello Poppits,

Hows your day going, It's time for some more cute little styles and a mix of vintage sprinkled in there for good luck be sure to pop over to Hart+ sew and Mama loves Papa so see everyone else's spiffy styles.

 This Week we have two lots of vintage style but in two different post! Lucky you :)

 It was a lovely day on Tuesday well as lovely as you can get in winter, so I decided that called for a walk at the beach with a smattering of lunch on  the side ( stout bread ( this is amazing ! I'll have to give you the recipe) and some yummy hot chips to go with the bread). After our walk and lunch it was time for a play on the play ground ! 

And oh boy was it fun! Edie loved going down the slid and was laughing her head off ! 

She like the swings as well but we all know that cause she has her own little one at home , but this one was a bit different and she could lay on it :)

 This little dress was made by Mama, she used to be an artist back when my mum was growing up and up until just after I was born. She used to make and sell lots of this kind of crotchet dressed and tops. I worn this same dress for my christening  about  19 years ago! wow that makes me feel slightly old.

Oh I found a picture of me and my mum on my christening day, I'm probaly almost Edie's age her, so it's kind of fun looking at it.
